Jessica Asher

First discovered by Ludwig von Schlezinger of Mega Model Agency at age 14, Jessica Asher quickly became the one of the ’90s most in-demand models. Within a year of signing with the German modeling firm, Jessica Asher left her hometown of Hamburg for photo shoots with overseas magazines. Jessica Asher’s first notable professional project was with Japan-based Vivi Magazine for its summer swimsuit fashion spread. Between her print modeling and runway schedules, Jessica Asher filmed a number of commercials for German car manufacturer BMW and food products companies Kuhne Mustard and Deutsche Extrakt Kaffee. Jessica Asher’s biggest modeling success came from designer Lacey Lachienne, who asked Jessica Asher to be the face of her swim line. The same year she represented Lacey Lachienne’s swim designs, Jessica Asher enrolled as a Communications major at the Universitat Kassel. Jessica Asher took advantage of the school’s supplemental programs, participating in the Backgammon Club and studying language with the Portuguese Club. Ultimately, Jessica Asher decided to postpone her formal education and placed full commitment on her ongoing modeling career. Jessica Asher left Germany in 2000 to take full advantage of the swimwear model market in Huntington Beach, California. YM Magazine selected Jessica Asher as its in-house model; until the magazine’s end in 2004, Jessica Asher modeled for its narrative, fashion, and beauty photo stories. In addition to achieving minor roles in a number of Hollywood films, Jessica Asher also earned a contract with St. Pauli Girl, acting in the beer company’s national advertising campaigns. Jessica Asher retired from modeling after posing for and marrying Jean-Luc Biendon, a noted Canadian photographer. Currently, Jessica Asher shares her unique skills and talents with budding models as a recruiter, runway coach, and agent for a modeling agency in Los Angeles. Jessica Asher serves as the agency’s international representative, focusing on finding models from Brazil, Portugal, and her native Germany.
